Factions

The Bone Kingdom

Finding space to be more hospitable to their own kind than life (as they need not breathe) the unliving have formed their own nascent empire in the spaces between worlds. They often sweep sites in the aftermaths of battles for bodies to raise to their service, and of course do the same to those they themselves kill (which are many). Being immune to poisons, they purposefully pump the air envelopes around their ships full of foul deadly gasses. Their seat of power is on the dark side of Hexis, where its Vampire Lords need never sleep, as that hemisphere is forever hidden from the sun. However, the Vampires and their minions must contend with foes on their own home front. The Mummy Lords and other threats operate on the other side of their world that always faces Khal, where the sun never leaves the sky, forever scorching all below. A ceaseless war churns in the twilight band between the lands of eternal day and night. The Vampire Lords, ruled by their godlike Lord Cziabog, seek to snuff out Khal entirely and rule the cosmos in endless night.

The Celestial Inquisition

Sensing a potential ally in the embryonic god Khal, the Celestials have staked their claim here. They seek to drive out any forces that seek to steal or snuff out the sun-deity's light.

The Elven Empire

The Elven Empire attempts to gain control here, to bring upon the system the “blessing” of their draconian brand of peace.

The Fey Rebellion

The planet Fheya has a strong bond with the Feywild and thus is home to many of its kind. The Seelie and their allies have taken to spelljamming, primarily seeking to protect the sun and the life it supports. However, some are of a darker stripe — the darklings and their sinister allies of the Unseelie work to wreak as much havoc as they can in the dealings of others, particularly their less dastardly cousins.

The Fey Rebellion is run by four Eladrin siblings, one for each season. As with most Rebels, they use false names to protect their identities: Autumn, Winter, Spring and Summer.

Fiendish Hordes

The Blood War raged here long ago, evidenced by the ancient ruins and battlegrounds scattered across the planets. The devils and demons have now begun to return, threating to once again turn the system into a backwater battleground in their eternal conflict that has raged across the planes for time immemorial.

Illithid Remnants

Mind Flayers are trying to rebuild their shattered empire and feel Khal would be a powerful weapon in this effort.

One Tribe

The primal races once unjustly considered savage and something to be tamed by outsiders, these various wildkin — minotaurs, leonin, lizardfolk, centaurs, and the like — united to defend their breathtaking, resource-rich world of Gopra from would-be conquerors. The democracy that emerged, One Tribe, thrived over the eons. Now glinting, spectacular cities dot the planet's landscape, separated by vast diverse expanses of untouched wildernesses — jungles, swamps, savannahs, deserts, ranges, oceans.

The Pure

Not all wildkin of Gopra see eye-to-eye, and many view the cities as stains upon an otherwise pristine world. These separatists, generally called The Pure, work to topple the skyscrapers of their more "civilized" neighbors.

Others

Beholders, dragonkin, various political powers, merchant barons and countless other parties also operate here, all vying for power, a place in the multiverse, or just survival.
